IGF welcomes back the exceptional Nevile Marten for a week of workshops, concerts and jamming.

Mojo with Neville Marten (Level 2-3)

This exciting musical mystery tour will cover a range of rock, pop and blues music from the last 50 years. From classic early rock’n roll to modern rock and pop classics. Improve your jamming skills and gain the necessary knowledge and confidence needed to be able to pick up the guitar and play a classic song anytime and anywhere.

During the workshops students will form an extended band and be joined by the IGF house rhythm section. Players are coached in how to faithfully decipher a classic track, replicate the style and techniques implicit to the original and are then encouraged to inject their own personality into performing the piece.

The set list will focus on music from major artists such as by Chuck Berry, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, David Bowie, Cream, Jimi Hendrix and some more recent releases.

Tutor Biog

Neville Marten is perhaps best known for having edited two of Europe’s leading guitar magazines Guitarist and Guitar Techniques magazines (Future Publishing). He has written numerous columns on blues playing, as well as the best selling Giants of Blues (Sanctuary Publishing). In addition to his career as a journalist Neville is a highly rated guitarist whose regular gig is with Marty Wilde’s band, The Wilde Cats.
