We are thrilled to confirm the return of this fantastic event which features the best guitarists in a variety of styles in a programme of concerts, workshops and lectures.

We are excited to announce that IGF are a co-founder of EuroStrings, an exciting new collaborative of 14 European guitar festivals, which was also joined recently by the GFA (US) and Altamira (China), making this an unprecedented, truly global guitar project.

Running for 4 years and made possible by a  €2 Million grant from the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, it is the first programme of its kind to secure such co-funding. The platform aims to create a vibrant hub of guitar activity, focusing on world-wide audience development and opportunities for young emerging artists. London Guitar Festival in 2018-21 will benefit from an exchange of exciting new artists. Known as Young Stars, they are the winners of the 14 member festival competitions.


IGF’s new programme for new guitar music, new players and new audiences.

New commissions by Errollyn Wallen, Joe Cutler, Howard Skempton and Na’ama Zisser. Performers include Tom Kerstens’ G Plus Ensemble, Vida Guitar Quartet, Eden Stell Guitar Duo and new players on IGF’s Young Artist Platform.

The programme is supported by the PRS for Music Foundation, the Leche Trust and the RVW Trust.
