
IGF Guitar Summit is back at Kings Place for three days of concerts, workshops, lectures and masterclasses with the world’s greatest guitarists!

Elsie Franklin is a musician based in York, playing and singing old-time style American folk, blues and ragtime. Elsie plays fingerstyle and slide on her trusty National resonator guitar. Originally from the south of England, she grew up listening to and learning to play American folk music through the influence of her father- highly acclaimed musician, Adam Franklin.

Music that would shape and sharpen what was to come and would serve as the foundation of it to become truly timeless music. Come and join us on a journey of discovery of the roots of western music.

Voted Best Male Blues Vocalist in the British Blues Awards for two years in succession, he continues to lead The Blues Kings on tours and festivals throughout Europe, Scandinavia and the USA. Formerly with the Big Town Playboys. Big Joe Louis is also an acclaimed solo performer.

With two UK Blues Awards finals places under his belt, Chris Corcoran is considered one of Britain’s finest blues guitarists. Besides this, he is also one of the very few fully instrumental British blues acts. The performances with his trio and with his six-piece band, which has been formed by several decades of experience in blues clubs in the UK, are both thrilling and fascinating. He has already appeared in several Guitar magazines and regularly gives masterclasses. In addition, his last three albums Blues Guitar Grooves (2017), Coolerator (2020) and Inferno (2021) were all awarded ‘Best Instrumental Album’ by the influential US website Blues Junction Productions. Chris and his band headlined a ‘Sold Out’ show for the 2023 January Blues Festival at London’s famous 100 Club.
