St Pancras Room, Kings Place

1.00pm | Gus McQuade and Morris Begg Duo

As one of IGF’s YAP awardees for 2022-2023, Zoe Barnett is a classical guitarist who is currently studying at the Royal College of Music for a Master of Performance where she is generously supported by the Derek Butler Trust. Zoe is continuing her studies under the tutelage of Gary Ryan and Christopher Stell.
She has performed in numerous concert halls across Europe and China such as the Wigmore Hall, Sala Maria Cristina Malaga, and Shanghai Grand Theatre.
She made her concerto debut in 2018 and is looking forward to playing with the Orpington Symphony Orchestra in 2023.

The Morris Begg Duo began working together three years ago when studying for their undergraduate degrees at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. The shared enjoyment of the intimate and expressive nature of the voice and guitar form has been evident in their recent concert performances; press reviews noted they were ‘delivering their programmes with freshness and charm’. The duo enjoys presenting a diverse range of repertoire from late Italian Renaissance lute music to 20th century Spanish songs.

As Live Music Now artists they have performed for St Giles Cathedral and the National Gallery of Scotland in Edinburgh.
